Bernadette E. Valdellon

At-Large Representative

Bernadette E. Valdellon is a staff attorney working on domestic violence cases at Legal Aid Services of Oregon. She is admitted to practice in Oregon, California, and the District of Columbia.

 

While at Santa Clara University School of Law, Bernadette worked on human and civil rights law issues in the school's international human rights clinic and completed legal internships at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. After graduation, she worked in the Middle East with military contingents from different countries to monitor peace treaty compliance. She then managed a national pro bono program providing representation to veterans seeking disability benefits for mental conditions related to military sexual trauma. Before coming to Legal Aid, she was an associate at a civil rights law firm.

 

Bernadette is the proud daughter of an engineer from Laguna and a nurse from Ilocos Norte, and she is currently trying to teach her dachshund Lucas mano po.
