2020 Annual Meeting & Elections

January 23, 2020

Date: Thursday, January 23, 2020

Time: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Location: Perkins Coie LLP, 1120 NW Couch Street - 10th floor

OFALA is holding its annual meeting and elections and requests all members and friends to attend. In addition to great food and good company, we will hold elections for President-elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and two at-large Board members. The Board is offering the following slate of candidates for the positions and we will also take nominations from the floor:

President-Elect: Alexis Baello

Secretary: Rebecca Guiao

Treasurer: Gretel Ness

At-Large Board Members (vote for 2): Eric Tadeo, Miko Santos

Board members not up for election this year, but continuing on our Board, are incoming President, Peter Sabido, and at-large board member, Chad Marquez.  Under our bylaws, only active members may vote and hold office (associate members like law students, paralegals, or other non-lawyers are not eligible to vote or hold office), and there is no proxy voting so we hope to see you in person.

Feel free to bring a friend or two who may be interested in joining or supporting OFALA; we will have membership forms available at the meeting.

We plan to have fantastic Filipino food from St. Barbra Pinoy Bakery (https://www.stbarbra.com/about), and Perkins Coie has graciously agreed to host us for our annual meeting that will include a recap of 2019 and an overview of what is on the horizon for a strong 2020 as OFALA continues to grow stronger.

We hope that you can join us on January 23rd. If you have any questions about the elections or the annual meeting, please e-mail contact@OregonFALA.org.
